In her family practice, Dr. Carla Cashin blends the traditions of naturopathic medicine with the rigor of scientific research. She works with patients of all ages, from children to the elderly. Dr. Cashin's expertise is in addressing hormonal, digestive and immune illnesses. She has a special interest in helping patients achieve optimal health; managing stress and resolving fatigue; addressing hormone imbalances including menopause, hypothyroidism, PMS, menstrual irregularities, and blood sugar issues; healing digestive concerns such as heartburn and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS); and restoring immune function to address allergies, frequent infections, and autoimmune disease.
Dr. Cashin is licensed by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia and is certified to prescribe pharmaceutical medication, including bio-identical hormones. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Cashin is a clinical faculty member at the Family Naturopathic Clinic, a non-profit teaching clinic serving young families. Dr. Meghan van Drimmelen, BSc, ND

Dr. Meghan van Drimmelen is an expert in the field of women's and children's health. She has dedicated her practice to the care of families, and provides comprehensive diagnostic work-up, patient education, and individualized treatment plans for a wide variety of acute and chronic health concerns. Areas of specific interest include pediatric developmental milestone checks, treatment for infections, allergies, skin and digestive concerns, as well as support for mental health, fatigue, hormone balance, menopause, fertility, and pregnancy.
Dr. van Drimmelen holds certifications in pharmaceutical prescribing, acupuncture and intravenous nutrient therapy. She has also received advanced training in bioidentical hormone therapy, naturopathic pediatrics, gynecology, and obstetrics. Dr. Dawn McElgunn, BSc, DC

Dr. Dawn McElgunn completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of California, Berkeley and received her Doctor of Chiropractic in 2003 from Life Chiropractic College West. In addition to her chiropractic practice, Dr. McElgunn has additional training in active release technique (ART), Gua sha, corrective exercises, and integrative medicine.
She has a special interest in helping patients with spinal stenosis and has received advanced training in this area from Dr. Carlo Ammendolia, DC, PhD of Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. McElgunn’s unique treatment approach combines manual therapy, special exercises, body repositioning and self management strategies.
Dr. McElgunn holds chiropractic licenses in Hawaii, Colorado, Ontario, and British Columbia, and is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Canadian Chiropractic Association, and the British Columbia Chiropractic Association. She brings over a decade of clinical experience to the Victoria community, and is fortunate to have practiced in several places including the beautiful island of Maui, where she treated many of the island’s top athletes.

Hayley Stobbs, R.Ac, CNC

Hayley Stobbs is a registered acupuncturist with the CTCMA and a certified nutritional consultant. Treatments focus on gently awakening the individual’s innate healing force towards vibrant whole living through acupuncture, Chinese massage, cupping, gua sha, food as medicine, and self-care recommendations. These complementary modalities assist in improving circulation, hormone and nervous system balance, detoxification, and nutrient assimilation.
Therapeutic nutrition and recipe handouts along with take-home stretches and acupressure protocols are a part of the overall treatment plan. Hayley is especially interested in women’s health, fertility, menstrual irregularities, pain, mental-emotional health, insomnia, allergies, and digestive health. Sarah Powell, CNP
Holistic Nutritionist & Yoga Instructor
Sarah Powell is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP) with a drive to promote healthy and holistic living. She completed her education at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Vancouver, graduating with first class honours. Along with nutrition, Sarah is also a certified Yoga Instructor with advanced training in Hatha yoga, Ayurvedic medicine and Pranayama breathing techniques. Sarah places a big emphasis on eating locally grown foods when possible and incorporating a variety of fresh herbs into the diet on a daily basis. She enjoys educating others about the benefits of alternative medicine and living a sustainable healthy lifestyle.
In her practice Sarah has a special interest in adrenal and thyroid dysfunction as she helps patients manage stress and increase energy. Sarah is also very passionate about helping patients strengthen their relationship with food as she works extensively on, healthy weight management, body image and mindfulness rituals. Other areas of interest include detoxification, hormone balancing, digestive health, and immune support. Sarah believes that when balance, moderation and mindfulness are incorporated into your daily life true sustainability is possible.
